Selecting the Subscription keyword type allows you to begin building a database of mobile subscribers. Members can send a text message with your keyword to your short code or enter their mobile number into the Sign Up Form Widget to begin receiving your messages. The subscription keyword type also allows you to assign interests and manage your:
Allows you to create a smaller subset of members within your mobile community. The subscription keyword type allows you to assign it to an interest by selecting an existing one, or creating a new interest. Learn more about interests in Interests help section.
The welcome message is sent after a member texts in your keyword or is replying to the web confirmation message. You can use Opt It's standard message, or create a semi-custom welcome message.
By selecting the semi-custom message, you can create your own message, which will still include "Msg & Data Rates May Apply. To stop reply STOP." to give subscribers information on opting out of your mobile community.
Please note that Opt It's character counter, under the message text, indicates the number of characters remaining as you type your message.
Preview your messages by selecting the Preview Message icon under the text boxes.
The web form verification message is the first message sent when subscribing via a web form. The user must reply to this message to activate their subscription. You can use Opt It's standard message, or create a semi-custom welcome message.
By selecting the semi-custom message, you can create your own message, which will still include "Reply with Y to join keyword" so that subscribers know they need to respond to the message to confirm their subscription.
If someone sends a message to join your mobile community, but they are already subscribed, the already subscribed message is sent. You may use the standard message, a custom message, or no message at all.
If you choose to select None, an already subscribed member will not receive a response.
A subscription auto-response message is a response sent to a member after they join your mobile community.
Tip: Use the subscription auto-response to send a special offer to a new subscriber as in the example below.
Use the Subscription Forward keyword type to forward inbound messages to multiple destinations, such as an email address, cell phone, a URL or your Opt It Inbox. Select the applicable checkboxes and fill in the associated required fields. For example, if you select the Email Address checkbox, you must provide an email address. By selecting the Inbox option, all inbound messages will be sent to your Opt It Inbox.
Use a Subscription Forward message to let members know that their message was received and that someone will be contacting them with additional information.
